Thanksgiving day came to a close. Those with common sense chose not to travel with inclement moving in on the eve of Thanksgiving. Most made the very best of the day going to a neighbors or to community dinners. It was inspiring how truly grateful people are. What is really inspiring is large or very popular businesses chose to be closed Thanksgiving and the day after.
Christmas is about to arrive. Those who understand the true meaning will celebrate with helping charities, church, school, and others with needs. Christmas carols will play on the radio, satellite, earbuds, and hopefully on a piano, guitar, and other musical instruments at home, church, and public gatherings. Families will gather together in tradition or choosing to take a different path.
The idea of hope when a loved one dies at the hands of humans who have no conscience, an accident, terminal illness or coping with life is almost lost during the celebration of the birth of Christ. It can be a very difficult time for some. The bah humbug may really just be hanging on going through motions on an hourly basis. Be kind, understand the season is not magic for everyone.
The season is about life ever after. In a world of turmoil there is goodness. Our child at the age of 4 once asked "Mommy why do people do bad things?" Answer "Because they don't have goodness in their hearts." The little wise one answered back "Oh yes they do, they just don't know how to use it"
Can our hearts believe there is peace, hope, love, and faith? The answer is yes.
God Bless. Keep believing. Merry Christmas.
