This spring and early summer has been busy on and off Eleven Mile Ranch. The gkids got to come and visit one weekend perfectly content to be outside the whole time with GPA and the goats. We manage to sneak away driving twelve hours for a niece's wedding reception. We were hoping for a much cooler day in  Colorado because the temperatures  have been close to or a little above 100 degrees in Oklahoma.  Needless to say  twenty-one hours of 97 degrees or better makes for a long day. Our Colorado relatives were enjoying the warmer weather they were getting and so we just enjoyed with them. GiGi has been working public relations events at the area town celebration parades and feeds.

Our local electric cooperative employees have been working a week now along with other cooperatives in sweltering heat to replace well over 500 poles taken out by a storm on Monday night. They worked through several nights to restore power. Their employees continued to work through 4th of July missing family time.  We were amongst the lucky ones being without power only 17 hours.  Our air conditioning has not worked well so we just shut if off to save electricity three years ago.  We are used to the heat more so than others.  If the temperatures stay around 90 it isn't too bad especially when the electricity goes off.

So Long....
