"The Bucket List" 2007 started a phenomenon society creating a bucket list of life-time dreams to finish before their end-of-time.
Sometimes those events don't have to be big accomplishments of any kind. It is the little things that happen throughout a lifetime that really count.
The little surprises of grabbing those special sandwiches, drinks, and desert from the unique store on the corner and surprising your significant other at lunch time or right after work by taking them to the park or lakeside for quiet time together in your business clothes on a blanket. Silly as it sounds it will be remembered.
Or what about the time you drove through horrific weather or somehow made the standby on the last flight out to get home for an event of a loved one. They remember it because you had already told them you couldn't make it.
What about the time you secretly saved money to surprise your spouse with that awesome tool or spa day at the ultimate spa? Or bought that special performance horse or music lessons with the best teacher out if town for a child.
Do you remember when the most awful day that could ever happen and your best friend just showed up with something silly?
Little sand shovels can move more sand than a bucket because it doesn't seem so heavy and a whole lot more fun.
We like to take short two day trips throughout the year to breakup our everyday life. A short two hour flight when tickets are fair to places farther than a four hour drive. We use all of the hotel annuities to get to other places in the city.
And sometimes we just drive around our area taking in the beauty of where we live. We take note of how things have changed over the years. More old homesteads no longer habitated dot the countryside. There are less people living in remote areas. This year the rains have made everything lush and green.
A full bucket is too heavy to carry. A smaller pail carries easier. It takes the same amount of time going slower with a heavy load or making more faster trips.
Drop the bucket and dance more.
